Strip: redfish king questions

I getting ready to strip my Redfish King and find the strips are fair to I get to the area between station 2 and the inside stem. It lays about 1/4 inch from the # 1 station. When I pull it in it makes for a convex curve. Is this the way this boat is designed? This my first strip built and am a bit concerned as it seems to take the fair out of the hull.
