: Yah... I figured I could find posts regarding this but surprisingly did not.
: What then is the pvc glue available next to the pvc? Is it not strong enough?

That stuff is dynamite. If you want to glue PVC to PVC. But, white glue, yellow glue, urethane glue, epoxy and anything else you can think of are out of the question.

: What fasteners?

Folders are made from a lot of individual pieces so there has to be some hardware to hold everything together. No screws, no bolts, no boat.

: I don't price the real thing... I just know what my budget is. In reality,
: the wife has already shot this one down, but maybe if I convince her is
: cheap and foldable, it might get somewhere. Just wondering if this idea
: should be left alone of if it has possiblity.
: thanks for the post,

The cheapest paddleboat to build is a wood framed rigid SOF. Experienced guys claim they have built them for $100. Even if one cost you $200 it's still far cheaper than anything else you could build. I built a 14' plywood pirogue called "Cheap Canoe" for $265 and that's near rock bottom. The epoxy and glass tape alone cost $160.
