I love Rhino, i think its one of the best CAD out there (if you dont take in account the very invasive methods some companies producing plugins for it have).
I have an earlier version of Rhino, i know that newer version have other file exports or have plugins that add new exports.
With mine i save the file as IGES, now Freeship (that i prefer to Delftship-free demo) wouldnt read that, but polycad does so it works well as "interpreter". The thing is that Freeship will read only the Bspline objects in the Polycad .geo file so the conversion of the kind of surface into Bspline has to be made while in Polycad.
Its not difficult at all to convert surfaces but Polycad isnt the most intuitive so sometimes happens to get a little lost in the menus, refer to the manual for the passages from one entity to the other.
I tried other methods but the "IGES-convert surface to bspline object in Polycad-import the .geo file in Freeship" its the only one i found that reproduces always the same object without conversion errors, and its relatively fast.
I know of some people that uses the VRML format to talk between different software but in this case i had no luck with that one. If im not wrong Delftship-Pro reads and saves IGES while the free demo only saves but cant read it.
Its worth to keep one eye on file conversion software or open source modellers, you never know what can come out one day.
