well, to be clear, its not that the developed surfaces are out of centimeters, but if i want the computer to spit out the developed panels, first: i expect that the precision is to a fraction of millimeter with plate beveled with the greatest perfection, and, unless you have a specific application for that, general cad software pushes the flattening to a certain degree (greater degree for rhino, i know they worked on that but still). Second: i would expect to have a cutter so that the panels are cut by the software with the same precision, because printing full scale and cutting myself isnt precise to the millimeter. At this point if i have to cut it myself its faster to develop it by hand the old way and it permits changes on the go. Eventually verify on the pc that the plate its developable and that you can squeeze the most out of the ply sheets, thats it.

The built in hydrostatics are actually just pretty buttons, they tell you nothing more than what the normal volume analysis would tell you. What you wold really want its Rhinomarine (3rd party plugin and well made too), but i really cant stand something that would mark my HD to the point that just a low level format would clean it. Copy protection its ok but theres a limit, if i pay for something id expect to use my copy of it, reuse it, reinstall it when and how i want or need and .... well better stop here.
