Total out of the air, but if they show this on shorter kayaks, maybe it helps increase maneuverability?

That might me the case in some of those kayaks. The few that I've modeled that show the same form are modeled with a waterline for my weight (190 pounds), and they still show a bit of the upturn.

That may have been the case, but if it was a mistake, it sure inspired the Brits and everyone who loves their AA. I'm looking forward to paddling mine.
