: Before I left for work this morning, I did the end pour in the bow of my
: kayak. When I got home tonight and checked it, the epoxy seemed to be
: setting just fine, but the tip of the deck had become delaminated. The
: hull was fine - it was just on the tip of the deck. Obviously, I'll sand
: it down to the wood and re-glass that tip, but before I pour the stern I
: wanted to get some insight from y'all about what happened. Is it the
: pressure from the epoxy expanding as it cures? or is it caused from the
: heat generated by the curing epoxy? The external temperature shouldn't
: have been an issue because it was in a space heated to approx. 60 degrees.

That's one reason I don't do end pours, other than intentionally adding a bunch of weight when it's not required.
