The view in the last photo looks good but in the other photos it doesn't look so good. There are different materials used to make web strapping, some are nylon and some are polyester. I can't remember which one is which but one of them melts better than the other one. One of them just seems to turn to black ash. When I made mine, I clamped the webbing between 2 blocks of hardwood placed in a vise. I left 1.5" (IIRC) of webbing sticking out. I melted it with a hot-air gun. When it began to make a mass of molten webbing, I flattened it with a putty knife. I then trimmed the thin edges with a pair of scissors. The webbing straps have held up well since I made them about 3 years ago.
