Or maybe it's just an opposing observation, rather than point of view . . . .

Anyway.
I'm no expert, but the national team coach here has recently expressed a different view regarding a couple of your biomechanic assertions.

Furthermore, having used both feathered and non-feathered paddles, extensively, I've found absolutely no practical or even noticeable difference between them when rolling, setting up for a roll, bracing in any manner, or performing various rescues. There is a bit, of course, but in actual practice, those differences are so minor as to be nonexistent. But that's just me.

Regardless, I was pointing out that, despite all the arguments for, and despite all the herein purported pluses of non-feathered paddles, the racing and whitewater kayaking communities definitely do not see them as advantageous.
