Pedro,
This position of yours seems to indicate that out of shape paddlers (like me) or those who paddle for fitness may actually benefit from the added movement required by a feathered paddle. But in order to realize the benefits of all that extra exertion most of us should be using left handed feather to balance the work out for our nondominant side. For example, when I paddle any distance my left arm is tired but my right arm and shoulder are sore, I am right handed and significantly stronger on that side so all of my power strokes are right hand while most of my corrective strokes are left handed. In effect I push less often but harder on the right and more frequently but lighter on the left. This is the opposite of the workout required to balance the strength left/right. Equipment that requires a modification to technique may help to balance the difference in effort when paddling.
