The general view of laminate construction with foam core is it is has no weight advantage over strip or plywood cored laminates. The hangup is foam has much less stiffness so much more glass and epoxy is, usually, required. Do you know if your lamination schedual will be stiff enough to support the body weight of the paddler on entry and exit and will it be stiff enough to keep the hull from flexing?
