: The idea of fishing in salt water brings out the connotation of " BIG
: WATER" but in reality , some of the best fishing in salt water is not
: the big water but the rivers that flow into the estuaries, areas where the
: shrimp and juvenile fish are raised and seek shelter, thus bringing larger
: fish to feed on the " BAIT".

Boy that area sounds great.
A kayak is a great way to experience nature and wildlife. Here in Indiana I can tell if a stream or river is polluted by looking for fish, turtles, clams, water plants and feeding birds. I have been on streams that feed reservoirs for drinking water that are completely void of all life. That gives me a lonely feeling. After seeing that I wouldn't ever drink that city water. Also I have been in other reservoir feeding streams that I could just pass through in my small kayak, which was teaming with life. That was Muncie, IN drinking water reservoir and it looked very healthy and clean. Just some thoughts about water and kayaks.
