It depends on the problem you are trying to resolve.

If it is just easy sanding you can add Q-cels or other sanding filler to the epoxy to make a very thin soup. You want to increase the thickness slightly so it doesn't run too badly and it will sand a lot better even with a relativy small amount of Q-cels or other lightweight filling powder.

If applying it to a wet layup don't get tooooo keen on squeegeeing it - you might force it through the glass where it will reduce the bond strength and maybe make some bulges.

It can help to get the weave full in one hit, but sometimes it does add to the sanding.
