I'm assuming Andrew wants to turn the rounded bottom into a multi-chine, not a
single-chine. Three chines as a minimum to get the rounded shape. Figuring
their exact location could be be a minor problem I suppose.

Along that line...The attached pic shows a new design for both multi-chine
and strip construction. In addition, the three page Link below shows a single
chine converted to a multi-chine and then woodstrip. Perhaps these will be
of some value in determining chine location.
