What I was getting at is that you can fish from most kayaks but they will never approach the capabilites of this new breed of fishing kayak. The picture I was looking for was of a guy who specializes in tuna fishing. He was pictured with a 110 lb. tuna in his lap. These super stabile fishing kayaks allow anglers to tussle with these big fish. The fact that this guy could pull something that big over the side without going over himself was testament to how stabile these boats can be. Plus they have tiedowns and other holding devices that secure all the gear so that battles with super sized fish won't allow your extraneaous stuff to end up on the bottom. Having a nice padded seat, a footwell, beer storage and a lot of other comforts doesn't hurt either. And, most of the boats are between $US 750-1300.

: Whoa thems is some nice sized fish. The handline set on my Expedition Single
: is rigged up as described by a buddy who caught a 5ft long tropical
: barracuda from a kayak.

: I am still waiting for my own fish of the day ;)

: Fishing from a kayak is without doubt exciting and the bigger game fish would
: be 'Old man of the sea' exciting.

: Mind you I am not so sure I would be so keen on having an angry little bitey
: between my legs :( , no matter how tasty it would be smoked :D

: Be careful out there

: Cheers Pete
