There are some great pictures of a man in China building a kayak that is on the Foldingkayak forum. The link will take you there.
I found a small amount of fiberglass in packages of 8 sq. ft. and looks to be 6 oz. e-glass at Wal-Mart in the auto section for $4.50. Just what I needed without the cost of extra shipping charges for a small amount of it online.
