I guess my concern is over hardness/scratches. The harder a finish is, the easier it is to scratch, but then again in my experience automotive finishes are really easy to repair and buff up again--because they're hard. Are the marine two-parts softer than automotive finishes? I did talk to an Epifanes tech rep, and he said that their 2-part would adhere to almost anything, so I can always recoat with it if I'm not happy.

As far as UV- I read a while back that the West 207 was extremely stable against UV and held up as well as other epoxies were when coated. Is this still true? I don't think that 207 is great for an entire boat because I'd have a tough time with the cost/benefit of the invisible interior of my boat covered with the fancy stuff. But for the exterior I was going to splurge.
