You could use a 5 hp 220 volt single phase motor to avoid the 3 phase conversion...
I just went through the wiring project to get my drum sander juiced in. 30 amps with 10 gage wire at under 100 ft long is what was recommended for the 5 hp motor.

If, by chance, you run across another needing repair, let me know. I have been looking (not really hard though) for a saw similar to what you found.
