Tools: Battery technology??

Hi all, and merry christmac.

This year Santa brought me a nice Makita cordless driver drill. Its with 2.o AH NiCD accus, and Im thinking of swapping it for one with 2.6 AH NiMH accus instead. Does anyone here know if those accus are low self discharge? As i dont use the thing every day (or week) that would be nice!
