I think that I have answered my earlier questions of you.
I see that you have three feather boards, and two of these are held in place in the miter slide, and the third is attached to the fence.
I hope you read this before answering my first. You'll see that I did not know a fence from a featherboard. Further reading got me straightened out.
Also I've seen a miter slide made by Incra that can be fixed in place. It looks like you are using the Incra or something similar.
And the factory guard can't be used because it is blocked by the feather boards.
It looks like your setup allows you to stand to the side where you won't be hit by a strip in case of kick back, if this good looking setup doesn't just eliminate kick back.
