use warmed epoxy

Should have mentioned this before.
Warm up the epoxy and it will be thinner and flow in deeper. Of course the higher temperature means it will set up faster, too--so mix only a small amount and apply it quickly. If you have some acetone around, a drop or two mixed in with the resin will also thin it a bit.
