Using that thin strip ripping jig works fine for a few strips, but if you are serious about cutting the 60 or 70 strips required for a small boat of any kind, it will soon get very tiresome. You have to move the fence for every cut, and with the number of strips needed, it is inevitable that differences in thickness will occur.

I prefer to use a table saw and gang cut with two thin kerf blades, setting the fence only once. See my web site at the link below for a detailed discussion on strip making.
