Thanks for the comments and responses. Using an aluminum or steel spacer for gang cutting would work just fine, as would spacers made of hardwood. I had some nominal ¼” ash lying around, so I used that. The ash mics at 0.255, and I add 0.017 in shims from the dado set. This gives me ¼” strips right off the saw. Again, the spacer and shims have to be adjusted to account for the different spacing between the blade plates and between the saw teeth. I use a couple of Freud Diablo 7” blades.

Just about any table saw that normally swings a 10” blade would be able to handle a three blade setup, as Paul suggests. For ribbed guideboats, I prefer to cut the strips a little thicker and plane them smooth to ¼”. This saves trying to sand between the ribs.
