Hi Gennie,

I am currently working on a foil shaped skeg and box for a production fiberglass kayak. I looked at hinging a surf fin from a pivot but ruled it out as being vulnerable to breakage when fully deployed. What I have now is the classic pie slice shape skeg with a 3" radius at the sharp end and 3/8" thick with the foil tapering to 0 over 14". Total throw is over 7" now but will be shortened in production. No photos yet. (sorry for not posting in metric.)
