I think "Secondary stability rules!". Initial stability can be low in my opinion because it gives better speed and it gives better feeling for the movement. High initial stability can lead to false safety feeling and when the kayak heels it can capsize too easily.

I guess this just means that people can have very different opinions about kayaks and how they should behave.
