I use the Scotchbrite pads wet. A little ammonia or a squirt of kitchen detergent in a bucket of water to dip the pad in while scrubbing the epoxy will remove any blush (if it exists) and dirt (from the pool). Rinse with a garden hose and let dry well before rollering epoxy.
I like the yellow Tiz Twin Paks Rollers by Wooster, CLC and Glen-L sell them. Tip with a wood handled foam brush. Do not roll or tip after the epoxy kicks. Throw out epoxy that kicks in the tray, do not try to use it. It will shread your roller and brush and goober on too thick.
