The article I wrote for Sea Kayaker was based on Tom's idea. I just anally wrote out the steps. :) I've made a few now and some more complex ones. I've found that the lighter vinyl (table cloth vinyl from any fabric store) holds up better than the stiffest vinyl. The stiff vinyl will develop cracks at the roll top closure.
