I have glassed both inside and outside of the hull and deck of my Cape Ann double, and am now ready to join them together. But herein lies the problem, The stern fits nicely as well as through the middle, but at the bow, the very tip is good and back another foot or so. But then on each side I have a gap starting small then expanding up yo 3/16" and back down again over an area about 3 feet long. Should I attempt to shave down the tip a bit, therefore closing the gap? or should i just fill it in with as close a match as I can get with wood flour mixed with resin and glass the halves together like that. I guess I should mention that this seam is bead and cove.
