The one with flatter bottom will much likely make lot's of splashing sounds in waves and chop. It can also start to slow you down in some sized waves. In other hand it can prevent the bow sinking too deeply in waves.

However if the plywood can take it, I would twist to create smoother shape. I might take an picture of kog#77 under progress and post it later.
