In answer to Roberts question about clc kits,they come in either a basic or full kit that has everything needed to build the boat of choice,I've built two of their kayaks,the Shearwater Hybrid & 12'Wood Duck.I've met John Harris and found him and all his staff to be very helpful.I've built 8 Pygmys, and can say the same about their business as well.

: Bear in mind that Pygmy Kits are not complete so you have to buy all the
: so-called extras to get a completed kayak. That raises the costs. I don't
: know how complete CLC kits are so no commentary on those. Waters Dancing
: Kits have absolutely everything needed to get a kayak on the water,
: including deck hardware.
