Thanks Tony, I was a little surprised at the results. Had some time to look at them a little closer.

Where I would use the boat, big waves are not really an issue 99% of the time. It would never see salt water. I live on a big lake, but to make big waves it takes some really strong wind. Enough that I wouldn't care to be out in it.

With that said, I decided to stick with the original design. I made up a cardboard model of the hull and the panels appear to make up just fine. Main reason is I just like the look much better and feel more comfortable with it.
