For those who had been asking, here's a picture of the latest member to the family. Danielle is being held by her big sister, Lena. Sorry for the poor resolution. I had to go with a small image size due to the slow connection I have at home.

Last Sunday Christine gave birth to our second daughter, Danielle (yup named after daddy). She was born at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH at 11:12 am on Sunday 1/20/2008, the same day as her Grandmother, Joan. She was 6 lb - 6.5 oz and 19″ long. That’s 2.91 kg and 48.3 cm for our European friends. Mom and baby are doing great. She was about 16 days early. A bit of a surprise for all of us. The staff at AVH was great. A big thanks to Dr. Burleson and the nurses.

I’ll be off from work from the NHDOT for about three weeks. Christine will need all the help she can get while she recuperates. Hopefully, when everyone’s taking a nap, I’ll be able to sneak in some work on the “Nereida” Njord, the latest kayak I’m building… I’m not counting on it though...

From what we’ve seen already, Lena is going to be a great big sister. 2008 should be an interesting year!
