I want to go back to a hand saw for cutting the ply planks for the next boat, it's fast and clean with no power cords and vac hoses. Problem is supporting those floppy planks while I exercise my atrophied arm muscles, 3 and 4 mm ply doesn't like hanging over the edge of a table while I hack away and the end of the cut gets nasty. I recall seeing something clever in a wood-working magazine ages ago but don't remember details, so I'll try a ply top on the cutting table, with a slot in it for the saw to work in. Thanks for the ideas. We're a bit off-topic aren't we!
