In Response To: Why are doubles so much wider? (Jim Hooper)
You read my mind. I've been looking for double plans somewhere between Nick's two designs (I'm afraid 30" would be too wide and sluggish, but 25' is too long). All I have been able to find is in the 30" range other than Nick's expedition double.
One option I have considered is stretching Redfish's Sring Run (about 24" beam). Any other ideas?
: Why are doubles so much wider than singles? And so much longer? Now I realize
: that they have to float two people, but they still seem very wide to me.
: But then what do I know. Some basic education is needed.
: Thanks
: Jim
