I think the site that provided the most clues prior to starting my project was Spidey's site (aka Ken) at http://www.dbeweb.com/kayak/pages/build.html

On my boat, I've used bead ? cove, clamps like Spidey shows at the forms, and Scotch Brand strapping tape instead of the grey tape. I tried the grey tape but found the strapping tape easier to work with. Did try one other brand (Ace Hardware) and didn't like it nearly as well as the Scotch brand - it was too difficult to get off without spawning strings.
