Hi,

I have bought the plans for a Guillemot Expedition Single.
With this came the following approximate material requirements:

3/4" Strips (linear ft) 1,100

1/2" Strips (linear ft) 250
I converted this to metric and got:

13mm Strips (linear m) 336

20mm Strips (linear m) 77
That over 400m of wood !!!

This seems a hell of a lot for a 19' (~6m) kayak.

Is this correct or have I done something silly ?
