Might be unnecessarily complex, but it also might be really handy, too. Still, the best bet is to make sure your compartments are completely dry and carry a hand pump just in case.

: out a buddy's boat by passing the end of the hose into his cockpit?

Now that sounds like a great idea! I'm going to install a foot pump, but will continue to carry the hand pump to pump out others' boats. Now you could use both hands to hang onto the "victim's" boat and use your feet to pump them out. Or pump with both hands and feet and bail like a maniac!!

What if your hose was long enough to pump out your own bow or stern compartment? Just a thought...probably too much hose.
