Ive tried making a corehaft, it didnt save any weight by the time the glue spilled in there.

But as a carbon blank, that might be interesting. Coat it with wax, lay it up in glass, saw down the middle, add carbon to the outside, fill each half with foam, and glue it back together?

Or use the new 3D router, shape the foam, and then glass it? Hmmm...
