This is a strong plastic seat I bought at WalMart for $7 that I was going to use until I built a seat. But it worked so well and was so comfortable that I kept it. I have a disc problem and this seat didn't cause any agravations. The back is too high for most kayaks but fit mine perfect. I drop the seat in and it wedges tight in place. I have a teather line attached. As you can see in the picture it had more then one use while I was kayak camping.
