I had very good luck using clear contac paper, available all over the place. I used it do hatch rims molds and also for a rudder. The technique is used by Vaclav in his building manual for his boats and rudders. After you cut your hatches out you cover the opening with the contac paper and glass away. It releases really well and leave no adhesive residue.
