I've been using heat-shrink tubing on bungee cord ends with good results.

: Has anybody ever tried that liquid rubber for bungie cord ends. It's used
: mainly for putting new grips on pliers and such. They call it Dip It or
: Rubberize It. I was thinking of tieing my figure eight and or the bungie
: knot, burning the ends and then dipping the entire knot. Any reasons not
: to try this method
: that anyone can think of?
