Hi Guy's,

It's been a while since I posted but, I thought I would let you know that the 300 series S.S. is in fact non magnetic. 400 series S.S. is Strongly magnetic. Take that old Buck knife and stick it up to a Magnetic. It's 440 series if I remember correctly. Springs are usually made of harder steel like tool steel, which is what 400 series is.
