I hope this works. If it does there should be a picture of two grade 8 students from my class drawing plans for a Guillemot Double.

We began the project in mid September, working during our Social Studies classes and afterschool. All 27 students took part in lofting the offsets. Last week they finished cutting the forms out on the bandsaw and we are now setting up the strongback. Today I finished rearranging the student desks in the classroom to accomodate the 18 foot long strongback and building area. I plan on involving the students in all aspects of the building process except working with epoxy. I am amazed at how well the kids have done so far. Their enthusiasm is very inspiring. They are still not quite certain how everything is going to go together but once we start laying strips I think they will have a better idea.
