newbie and proud of it. this time my problem is, I was not going to do any thing real fancy to my first kayak just build and get it the water ya know, to see wheter or not I really liked buiding them sailing them and all that. well now that im about 2/3rds done and really pleased with what I see, after I put sealer coat of epoxy on the top, I thought after all this hard work that the deck needs some accent so I cut in some inlay where the hatch covers are going got it all sanded epoxy feathered back, cleaned up my area good, using the same epoxy and making sure I mixed the right parts, the newly recoated area has such a major color diffrence that im afraid ill have to resand & coat the top. is this normal?
