Ken,

Your idea of squirting the Liquid Nails into the groove before adding the tubing is of a higher I.Q. plane than I usually inhabit. Brilliant.

Especially after last night I drilled holes in the upper pipes of my C-beam and pumped in the Liquid nails (LN). What a messy hassle. If the drill holes were small enough to not compromise the material, then they were too small to put in the LN. Now I've got the glue glopped all over the place and I'm guessing that I have too much where I don't want it and not enough where I do.

I only did the upper pipes since I wanted gravity to help me out by pulling the LN down along the actual joint. Tonight I'll do the bottom ones illuminated by a shop light and Ken's brilliance.

This first boat is clearly my "learner". I'm pleased to say that my neighbor, who's built a strip and some S&G boats, wants to build one of these for himself after this one is worked out. I'm planning on doing a somewhat shorter, wider one for my wife.

Even though it's a learner, it's mightily fun!
