Rob, How is the polypropelene cloth different than Dynel?, I'm thinking of using what J.R. Sweet calls Dynel cord (used on edges of whitewaterpaddles) on the stems, glued into a 3/16" recess cut into the stem then glassed over with the regular hull glass. It's a hollow braided cord that flattens out if squished.
