Not bad, I found I had to use 2 sometimes 3 stitches per plank on the ends to help hold the shape. Also twisted wire between 2 stiches on each side of the join to close gaps in the planks. I don't think I referred to the book in this part and just worked from memory. Must have worked out Ok since the kayak tracks straight. Buying plans from the US works out a bit costly for us in NZ so the book was a godsend.
