There are quite a few kayak builders in NJ. In addition to Lee's suggestion on the search feature on CLC's website, you might also try the Jersey Shore Sea Kayak Assoc bulletin board (www.goldcar.com/kayak/board/). The Jersey Shore board will give you a good idea of what you can do with your kayak once you finish it. In answer to your previous post, I live in west central NJ and built my stitch and glue in a garage during the winter (started in January and finished in June). There wasn't much choice since I don't have a basement. I recall it was a mild winter so leaving the car in the driveway was more a nuisance than anything else. The boat turned out great, but the garage was pretty much a mess during the time I was working on it. I'll probably start my next boat in the spring.
