Tools: Free CAD for printing templates?

Anyone here know of a free (or demo-able) CAD program that I could use to print templates for the crosssections. I am trying to build a Great Auk for my wife and the boat is a tad large for her. I am using the tables in Nick's book and want to reduce it. I reallt don't want to use graph paper for this if I can help it.
Actually the best thing would be if someone knows how to get Excel to print charts to the correct sizes since all the data is already in there.
