QCad is free on Linux....trial version for windows

Not sure if you run Linux, but there is an excellent and free (GPL'd) cad package called QCad. Don't let the words "Linux" and "Free" scare you, it actually a very nice program.

They also have a trial version for windows that works for 60 days.

This program uses the QT libraries, and you should have no problems running it under any current Linux distribution. Good luck building!
