Walnut would look good, but I'm not sure any of what I have is in long enough pcs. Cherry would also be good as long as it doesnt discolor with water stains. I think I'll trade Jim for some ash, and then choose from maple, cherry, or ash. And I though about picking up a chunk of basswood, I think it's fairly cheap. That'd look OK, dont you think? Cedar, basswood, fir, and Cherry or Ash?
